"Eine kleine Band aus Kreuzberg" as Yvonne said, doing a "Klassentreffen" with their old mates.
The announcement of a jingo show ten years after the split, was quite overwhelming for me.
It was a good opportunity to come back to Berlin, where I haven't been for quite a while.
There were no cheap flights from Brussels to berlin. So I took the train to cologne and then the plane to Tegel.
In a small pizzaria next to the White trash I met Luc and his girlfriend. It was a pleasure to meet Luc after beeing in contact by e-mail for about 2 years.
Shortly after we crossed the road to check the venue for the evening. We had some beers and at 23:00 the club was getting fuller and fuller. At midnight
Jingo appeared on the stage. They all looked great and were very enthousiastic about all the present people waiting to see Jingo live again. Till the very
first second the rocked the crowd, like they haven't been away for years. And the cowd was enthousistic too.
Yvonne was telling old stories of the Kreuzberg-scene back in the days. And the Band played all the classic songs from the first two albums and the EP,
plus the coverversions they're kown for.
It was a pleasure to see the band back together in such a good mood. Let's wait and see, if the story continues.

For those of you who weren't there at Jingo's first reunion show yesterday: THEY WERE FUCKING AMAZING!

Hit the stage shortly after midnight and played until close to 2 am. The set consisted of about 25 (?) songs mostly from Perpetuum Mobile, Axe To Grind and Cursed Earth. Cover songs: Cowboy Song, Boys Are Back In Town, Pay To Cum, Banned In DC, Rock For Light!!! I can't recall any tracks from B.Y.E. or Deja Voodoo. Growing Pains from Underdog. A dream-come-true set. Even though I missed Reason and Je Ne Sais Quoi. But hey, no reason to complain with Perpetuum and Axe almost in its entirty.

Everybody has aged well. Even though the boys looked like they feed themselves a little better. Yvonne won everyone over once she hit the stage. She may not be 16 anymore but is still the charismatic beauty she ever was. And to me it seemed that her German had approved. Back in the (early) days I remember it to be pretty rough.

They played as tight as they ever did. With Tom and Yvonne rocking away in the typical way at the edge of the stage. band and the sweaty audience with big smiles on the faces. Yvonne may have missed a beat (and word) or two. But hey, her voice was as good as it ever was - maybe not quite as angry but theoverall vibe was simply too positive to be angry.

The show was filmed/recorded with a bunch of cameras. Let's hope this will be made available soon.

Can't wait to see 'em again tonight. I feel sorry for all of you who missed this.
